Hey guys,

I used Flatworm exit for the first time yesterday. Everything in my tank has made a full recovery, minus the flatworms of couse :). My coral beauty really didn't enjoy the treatment though. It was extremely skiddish all last night and this mourning both its eyes were completely clouded. It ate very well today and appears to be doing ok but I wanted check if should do anything special or just wait it out.

Thanks, Nick

Maintain your alkalinity close to 8.3 and ditto ph. Keep the water easy on its skin. Eyes heal amazingly quickly, but make sure it's not irritated by water quality. Test all up and down the line.

Did you use activated carbon to get the toxins the flatworms release out?

I used flatworm exit with no problems, however, I siphoned out the flatworms as they died and used 1 pound of carbon for every 50 gallons of water.

The flatworm eXit is not dangerous to the tank and its inhabitants. The problems occur when the flatworms die and release toxins into the water. Thus the activated carbon..

The CB is looking doing much better today.

Water parameters are normal

I did use carbon in a canister and siphoned out the flatworms as they died.

I will run a second dose to pick up the remaining stray flatworms as soon as my CB looks up to it. Athough I doubt it will be bothered as I will have far fewer flatworms die off in my tank this time around

Thanks, Nick
