Coral Beauty may have HLLE

Or just a nick gone bad?

I have been quarantining a coral beauty and flame angel in a 29g biocube, each has a half of tank separated by a divider.

The coral beauty has a sore below his eye which may be HLLE or Hole in the head disease.

I know stress may be a factor and since he is in a small tank should I take the leap and transfer him to the big tank (90G). Since there is really no other treatment.

I originally thought he nicked himself on a rock on wednesday, now three days later it looks worse.

Very tough, but here are a few I cropped.

Yes, in an effort to keep a coral beauty and flame together, I am quarantining them together before introducing them into the DT at the same time.

And the divider is acrylic that I drilled holes in for flow, one thought is he nicked his face on a rough edge of one of the holes.

your plan is bad from the jump.

Do not attempt to keep two similarly sized Angelfish species in the same aquarium. It's a recipe for disaster. Do research.

Centropyge are haremic. Try multiple specimens of the same species.

I appreciate and respect your opinion Gary. Although I have talked with many people that have successfully kept two dwarf angel together for years. I understand its hit or miss but those that have had success introduce them into the new tank together as juveniles.

I agree with gary i added a multi color angel and i frogot i had a potters angel in my 180 the potters attacked him! same size same family is a no no !
