My Coral Beauty dwarf angel lost any interest for food for the last 3 days. I had this fish for two months and he always been crazy for food. The tank was started in August. I tried frozen frozen brine, frozen mysys, frozen angel formula, cyclopeeze flakes, formula 1 and 2 flakes, nori sheets. I soaked some food in garlic extract and some in selcon. He did'nt touch a thing since saturday. He still swims around when i put food in the tank but he does'nt eat. The rest of the time he seems to swim around less then he used to do, he just stand in a big cave all day.

2 days ago Ph was down to 7.8 but my parms are back in normal range.
Nitrates: 0
Ph: 8.2
Dkh:8
Calcium: 420
Gravity: 1025
Ammonia:0
Mg: 1400

All other fish are doing fine : midas blenny (1 month), melanrus wrasse(2 weeks), chalk basselet(2 weeks). I did not witness any agression by any fish.

All my corals a in good shape.

I'm worried, any tips or ideas that can help would be appreciated. This fish was my first one in this tank.

The only thing I can think to try is some fresh clam on the half shell. Normally when a fish is already eating frozen like yours was it should not need to go back to clam but its worth a shot.

Anything new added to your tank? Any chance a parasite is bothering him?

I added the basselet and the blenny 2 weeks ago I did'nt QT them. No visual signs of parasites. He took 3 or 4 flakes of formula 2 tonight. Thats a good sign I guess. Maybe he turned vegetarien. :D

I would be concerned about adding a fish that was not QT'd. The possibility of a parasite is possible. I would continue to keep an eye out for any visual signs. Good Luck

Good news my coral beauty took some brine shrimp and some cyclopeeze flakes today! I guess hes back to normal now.
