I have had this coral beauty for a little over a month now. He has been fighting ich off and on since I got him, but it hasn't been bad. After about a week or so I noticed a small cut on his head which I thought he got from scratching against a rock. It is gradually getting bigger and bigger. At first it looked like a cotton kind of stuff. Kind of like what a teddy bear looks like when there is a small rip in it. Now it is a large hole that looks like a pink skin in the hole.
I have been treating him with Metronidazole for 3 weeks now. I am soaking his food in it. I originally got it to treat the ich but I was hoping it would also help with a possible infection. Does anyone know if this is hole in the head?
There hasn't been any changes in his behavior, except chasing my blue reef chromis around. He is eating and swimming normal.
Sorry about the blurry pics, he won't stay still long enough to take a picture. It seems like he trys to keep that side facing back so that I can't see it.
