Coral fight! Spill your guts out!

Hydnophora attacks protopalythoa. I'm rooting for the hydnophora, but my guess is that it may end in a standoff. I'm glad it's under water so I can't hear the screaming.

I've seen this on TV in slow motion pictures of coral battles, but I hadn't noticed such a flagrant attack in my own tank before.

Howard, I have about 6 or 7 battles in my tank now. the hydnopora is pretty mean when it comes to hitting SPS like a monti cap, but a frogspawn is one of the meanest ones I have seen. it has killed hydnopora in my tank and is hurting several othe rsps close by. I have for to frag mine or do some major re-arranging.

Edit: i looked at your pics and the "guts" you see are the hydno stingers. Hydno will win out here.

Thanks. The palys are grabbing territory and it would be nice if the hydnophora can hold the line. I have moved some of my monti caps from near my frogspawn which has roughed it up.

LIkely the frogspawn will nuke them.

I need to frag mine, but I get butterflies when I do. the tissue is so far down the structure and it has grown so tightly bunched.

I love the look of frogspawn but I dont think it will work in my little nano. I am looking forward to getting the 58gallon running.
