What work? As president I'm making an executive decision to say that contest frags have no cdp obligation. Making SLASH great again ! Lolz
I'm always excited to see the launch of another growing contest. However, please discuss this with mpcart before for committing to any exceptions to the CDP rules. As the current CDP Manager, if he thinks it makes sense and can handle it without issue then I would support his decision.
I personally would strongly advise against making an exception in this case. Tracking transactions and educating the membership on the actual CDP rules is difficult enough. Additional exceptions and rules will just create more confusion.
Besides, meeting the 3-frag obligation is really a non-issue. Per the rules, "selling and trading" is truly the only restriction on a CDP coral prior to meeting the 3-frag obligation. If after the growing contest, if you can't find members with points who want a frag of slimmer, you could donate it to the CDP tank (meet your 3-frag obligation), give it to members or non-members, throw it away, turn it into Ca Reactor media, carve it into figurines, whatever. You just can't use a CDP coral for financial gain until you've met the 3-frag obligation. There has always been a lot of confusion concerning this rule. Perhaps we might consider changing the term "3-frag obligation" to "3-frag selling restriction."
An unlikely case but, if an exception were created, a receipent would be well within the CDP rules to simply pick up a contest slimer at the swap and walk right next door to a vendor and sell or trade it for another coral.
After all that said, if you don't want a CDP obligation tied to a growing contest coral then I would suggest keeping it completely out the the CDP.
BTW it was good seeing you guys last week! Have fun with the swap!
