Coral health concern

My acropora fell on my birdsnest last night and the birdsnest started to eat the acropora, and now there's a white patch will this heal and return back to normal?

I had a similar issue and mine recovered. I am not expert though and it wasn't very damaged.

Actually it ended up it was the birdsnest that was damaged

I've had this happen before. I usually cut off the white (dead) branches to avoid a place for algae to start growing. The coral will heal soon under good conditions.
