Hello all, I was hoping I could get some help with a coral id... I picked this up for $20 tonight because it looked interesting. It looked like this at the store...

Fast forward three hours, with no lights on in my tank, and I figured I'd see how it was doing so I turned my bedroom light on. Well, I was surprised ha. Seems it just wasn't open at the store. Turned the tank lights on for a couple minutes to snap these two pics. Here's the coral "opened up"

I'm guessing some sort of goniopora? But would appreciate some confirmation / ID... whatever it is, I like it ha.

Thanks

it looks like my flower pot. It likes high flow so debris so not settle on the coral. That's a very good price, you scored twiced

thanks guys/girls. I got it because I liked the white base and light blue in contrast (and it was only $20 ha). Looks like I did get lucky :spin3:
Thanks for the tips, as well

Krystal Clear Aquatics in Auburn. Went to get a small pump for my auto top off, and had to check out the frag tanks, naturally. They had a nice rainbow favia frag, too. It was one or the other, as I'm trying to hold back til the FFM

They had a very similar sized and looking frag at PC last week when I was there...so tempted lol

That's a nice goniopora. I've actually got one the same color. Does yours have striped down the stalks too? Makes it look like a dr seuss book haha

I haven't noticed any stripes but ill have to take a closer look after work today. That'd be cool ha. Yeah Im gonna have to snag that favia if its still there next time I go

Thanks Bob. I almost called you last night to see if you wanted to make the trip up there with me but I know you work early. My rkl will be in today im pretty excited
