Coral ID?

I seem to have some new coral growing on the rock my zoa is on. Anyone know what these might be (where red arrows indicate)? Is it new growth of the zoa? Are they Mushrooms? Leather?

They've grown considerably within the last week or so.

Someone else suggested discosoma mushrooms and I think I agree.

They've grown A LOT since I got that rock with the zoas on it (about three weeks ago). No matter what they are, I feel lucky to have gotten two different corals for the price of one (which was already at cost). Even the Zoas have spread and gotten bigger.

I believe mushrooms as well.

It's definitely a mushroom. Try taking the picture to your LFS and see if they have any idea the specific species.

I'm sure they weren't even aware the mushrooms were on that rock when I bought it. They weren't selling it as anything other than zoas. It's a bonus for me.

By the way, I am going for softies only, especially the weeds (like GSP and Xenia) that grow like mad and take over everything. I'm doing this on purpose as I have no intention of keeping LPS or SPS. I'll let nature take its own course on how it all develops. I've seen examples of complete Xenia and GSP "gardens" and I quite like the look of it.
