Coral Identification

Hey all. Got a coral I'm trying to ID on my TBS rock. At least I think it's a coral. Something growing anyways.

Don't have a picture but it looks almost like a piece of slate standing upright. Kinda like shards. Also has a petrified wood look to it.

I know that's not much to go on but any ideas???

brown branches are a Gorgonian with polyops extended.

when they retract it looks like sticks.

is that anything like yours ?

if not get a photo... all else is guess work.
