Coral Reef Aquatics

Nice store! I went in this evening for a quick couple of items and was very impressed with the coral selection and dry goods prices. I didn't check the livestock prices. Not many fish, but also not many of those fish that load up stores but are horrible choices. I also appreciate the space given to aquacultured corals.

I always hear that everything gets cherry picked in California at the wholesalers, but I don't think so! Apparently, Alabama has been holding out on us.

Nicole,
Glad you liked CRA. I think it's great too. Hard to beat the selection, service and pricing, and Johnny's always willing to order a fish for you if you want something he doesn't have in stock.

I think you'll find, as I did, that the rest of the country vastly underestimates Alabama in just about every way possible.
fwiw,
Mariner

Uh uh. Alabama is filled with inbred backwards hicks with rotten teeth and chickens in the yard, because the chickens give class to the establishment They all tote big guns and shoot at strangers for fun.

So don't move here!

Not much to do on a Friday night but type

I represent and am uhfended by the above-said and aforementioned statements. For what it is wurth, the neighbors dog killed my chickens so I restocked with goats. They are a little more intimidating when the UPS man comes down the dirt road to deliver my bulkhead fittings and mag drive pumps.
Reefin' is just hard this time of year, bein that it is so cold when I am out at the pump in my boots and long-johns, drawing up water for my automatic top-off! Them metallic halides sure do vaporate lots uf water. Well I have to go now. The generator is about out of fuel, and my wife is getting cold holding those phone wires together on the power poles.

Keep your friends close and your 12 gauge closer!

Fer any yankees what might be readin' this, Westpat David resides in Remlap, which is Palmer spelled backurds. They got modern stuff there like power poles and UPS delivery that ain't made it to my neck of the woods yet. I'm still using the old rope and bucket for top off. Jus' so's ya know.

Huntsville isnt in Alabama. Its in northern Virginia, they just ran out of room and stuck it between Birmingham and Nashville since nobody else was using that space.

He he, you guys know yall are yankees up north there in huntsville, when you hit that 69 highway you travel anothe 45 minutes further into the sticks to find our neck of woods. At least the UPS man will dirve out Davids drive, this is no joke the UPS lady called my wife and ask her to drive out to the end of our drive, said she was afraid she wouldn't make it. LOL On a good night you will hear the banjo's on a bad night you will hear the shotguns. Nothing like living down here though. You rarely meet a stranger, bubba will always be willing to help (whether he knows what he is doing or not), just remember cow pastures and Trees are usally markers, LOL (reminds me of Will's directions he sent me to his house). Only problem is do you know how many cow pastures and big ole oak trees there is down here? Only here in the south will you find a restuarant named Slick Lizzard, one of those here in Jasper best sandwich around. Also around here a coke can be any beverage cola.

Don't know bout ya'll civlized northern folk, but us done here in LA gots it good. Why, Ize got the stream feeding my RO unit, course I havta use that carbon stuff with the meth lab next door but I gets free samples and mah corals got crazy growth. I dont even need lights since the dang old Ivan made me one'them sky lights few years back. Only problem I gots is the goats keep getting in and eating the cheato. They keep jumping over that couch on the front porch that weve been using as a door since the po'lice busted it down.

LOL, oh man I Think The Griffin is my neighbor

Sorry had to edit using blackberry on these forums (shh don't tell them we have that down here either)is really tough.

Hey Nitro, the wifey said there were 2 armidillos hit out on the road between us. We you going to eat um or can we have them?
I ain't got noten planned for supper.

Naw you uns go on head an scarf it down. Ole lady done wentan found us dem dar possums and is plannin us uh big fixin's down dar at momma nems house.Atter dat, wesu all plannin on drankin and a kick up some dust, you know nadine and ole jackie jo isa gone git maireed first thing in tha mornin at billy jacks barn. Wesu plannin on a shen dig. Be shurin ware yo sundy bes oer alls.

Ya'll are so cute trying to brag about your UPS service. It's okay, you don't have to pretend for me. I'll have a pair of overall and long johns with the flap in the back before you know it. ;)

I laughed about the remark using oak trees and pastures as markers. The property I am buying Hartselle backs up to a cow pasture and has oaks trees at the property corners...

LOL. A couple at the church where I preach really DID get married at a milk barn last summer. After a reception under the attached barn pavillion, the happy couple rode off together in a very large JohnDeere tractor. No kidding. :eek1:

John have any cleaner shrimp? Blood shrimp?

I have 2 peppermint (the third one, i think, got too close to the rbta before I got the clowns...we never found a body...), decorator crab, emeralds, hermits red and blue, sallyl lightfoot, 2 porcelain, rbta, mated gsm's, 3 chromis, sea cucumber, zoos, xenia, gsp, kenya tree and an indestructable aiptasia. (bristle worms, a few fans, a sandsifting star, and some micro stars, but I haven't seen them since the day after they went in).

any conflicts?

Anything else that I just shouldnt live without? Especially anything that John has? :)

Just so's ya'll know some of us folks over here in East Alabama got class, I want to tell ya'll about our newest aquarium makeover. We applied a lovely handpainted background, with a giant 3 on it. And painted our stand and canopy with Nascar logos intertwined with black checkered flags.
