I would definately have to agree with you. Reef Central is by far the best, most positive and supporting forum I belong to and this thread, your thread, our thread as you put it, sets the bar. Thanks go to you and everyone who participates in this thread. I have learned alot, and I'm sure there are many others who have learned a thing or two on this thread. Not a day goes by that I don't check this thread to see what I can learn. Plus, if I miss a day or two it takes a long time to catch up! :lmao:

Bulk Reef Supply also has this 1/4" mesh with a aluminum frame. I plan to order some very soon as the eggcrate I have just isn't cutting it anymore. Not that I've had fish jump lately it's just annoying and ugly.
Edit: the mesh doesn't come with the frame. You must buy the frame, corners, and spline separate from them, or from home depot. You can use bird netting that they have at home depot or the more attractive clear mesh that BRS has.

Thank you for the support and encouragement. The pace of the build should pick up next week with Mr. Wilson's return from vacation and Chago's well archetected water solution. The major element we are all waiting for is the sump which has been promised by the manufacturer over ten days ago. As soon as the sump goes in the skimmer will be started and the reactors can all be brought on line. Then the long sought pictures of the updated fish room will follow!!!!

First, we at nineball incorporated, thank you for your generous praise and we are glad to see you still lurking about the thread.
The two mangrove units were ordered and shipped to The Fish Room. One arrived in pieces. Mr. Wilson has hung the first one and ordered a replacement for the second. We have not started the first hydroponic unit as we decided to wait for the replacement sump to arrive from Colorado. The two mangrove units will tie into the sump so it was better to wait and not create any more 'just for now' configurations. Mr. Wilson and I are very hopeful that the sump is in transit and due to arrive this week maybe, hopefully, possibly, almost for sure!!!!

Had the great pleasure of seeing Peter's and the gangs tank on Saturday. All I can say is wow the pics are great but they do no justice to seeing this thing in person.
The rock work is absolutly amazing. And though the tank only has smaller fish in it at this time there always seems to be lots to look at. The pimped out snail is really neat to see as well.
Also what everyone says about how quiet this set-up runs and how cool the 5 big pumps run is totally true. Then there is the fish room and again wow when he gets it all finished in there with the new sump, mangrove wall, and RO system its going to be even better if thats even possible. The Robot is even taller then my husband who stands about 6'3".
We even came out of the trip which was about 3.5 hours round trip with some really nice dead and live rock to replace our crappy very dence base rock we have in our 55 and some salt that Peter is no longer using after switching to a more reef friendly salt.
All in all I had a great time meeting Peter and his wife and getting to tour his amazing home.
I will be sure to send you some pics of the tank Peter when the rock is in the tank...we have about half of it cycling now with a nice chunk of frozen home made fish food to get a good bacteria build up on the rocks.

I made it to Calgary, Montana, Wyoming, Idaho, Nevada, California, Oregon, Washington, and Vancouver in ten days!!! My laptop died (again) so I wasn't able to follow the thread as closely as I would have liked, but here are some travel shots to share with you...
Yellowstone: Enough calcite to keep Peter's calcium reactor running indefinitely!
It may look like a coral reef, but it's a hell of a lot more alkaline and hot enough to melt any coral.
Noop, that ain't coraline algae, it's bacteria in a sulphur spring.
Now that's a zero edge hot tub!
