I know of several books that do just that, for the Fl-Caribbean there is Corals of Florida, the Bahamas, and the Caribbean, by Paul Humann. For the pacific, Doug Fenner has Corals of Hawaii, and there is a three volume set Corals of the World, I don't know the author of that one off the top of my head and I'm too lazy right now to get up and look,LOL! There are more, for intstance there is a book I have on sea of cortez inverts that covers some of the corals and same for a book I have on the inverts of Galapagos, it has a section of corals. What I would do is search "coral of... books" in google and see what comes up.
