Which Metal Halide Fixture would you prefer?
I have a 210 gallon 72x24x28 tank

72" Coralife Aqualight Pro
3x250W HQI Lamp
4x96W CF Lamps Sq. Pin
4x1W LED

72" Current USA Outer Orbit
3x250w 10K HQI MH
8x39W T5 HO
4xLunar Lights

as a general rule, I like current lights more than coralife, but both are decent.
Also, I think you'll like the 8 t5s instead of the 4 PCs.
As far as the noname ones, they will definitely get the job done, but are no where near the quality as the others. Also, if something goes wrong (which isn't too unlikely), the no names won't replace things as easily or free of charge like some of the larger companies can.
i had an odyssea light when i first got MHs, and they definitely worked, but are not as nice as some of the others out there right now.

I have a real nice PFO unit 6ft, near new. 3x 400 watt SE MH and 2x 160watt VHO actinics. Has all the bulbs and all the matching ballasts. The nice thing about the PFO's is the quick connect kits, you can easily swap out 400/250/175 watt ballasts, regular or HQI too. The quality beats current or coralife too.

I am selling it for 40% of new, not including what it would cost for bulbs. $500.

VHO is the best actinic out there. I have several tanks, and I think there's no comparison amongst the lights.

(I had this fixture on my 210 BTW)

sorry for the late reply; was out gathering sea water...and fishing of course.

No, no chiller on anything. My tanks are in the basement, and I run the ac 16 hrs a day as a dual chiller/ dehumidifier. works great; why cool just the tank when I can cool the whole room?

I simply moved up to lumenarcs off reefdaddy as I want to give them a try for more spread. Now I have a mess of lights above the tank where this fixture, to do work in the tank, all you have to do is pull two cords to raise or lower the fixture.

I was in no hurry to sell the light and was entertaining switching back, but I just booked a 4 nighter to the keys and I need to offset the airfare for the family.
