Coralife calcium reactor 250

I am thinking about getting the Coralife Calcium Reactor 250 for my 120 gallon sps system I will be setting up in the near future. I am wondering if anyone has heard anything good or bad about this unit? I am also wondering how vital a PH monitor and probe would be since it does not come with it. It said you can go without it but recommended for accurate control of PH. Could I get by without it for a little while?

Also, any thoughts how much a C02 tank and gauges typically run?
