I purchased this pump to use for a DIY skimmer and used less than 2 hours. I am asking $40

I still have it. I am selling because it was originally intended for an airstone driven skimmer and I instead purchased an Octopus needle wheel 200 skimmer.

It is perfect and in as new condition. It was an "oops" purchase. I wouldn't try to sell it if was defective, I would have sent it back the the manufacturer.

I am looking at this pump....but have not found any reviews for it. How would you rate it? I am also going to use it for a counter-current skimmer about 4-5ft deep.

I have never had any other large pump to compare it to but it does put out a bunch of air. The DIY skimmer I had was a crap design but this pump was able to over power 4x 3" Coralife wooden airstones.

How deep were you using it? That is what I am worried about....and is it quiet?

I live down in Pine Bluff, but could meet you in Memphis some weekend any weekend you are available. On that note, any stores to see while I'm there (kinda slim pickin's around here)?

It was an external skimmer that I fed with a small mag pump. The reaction chamber was about 24" tall. I didn't know enough about skimmers at the time to get it working right. As far as the noise, not bad but I wouldn't want it in my bedroom.

Most any weekend would be workable.

There are actually 3 stores that carry a lot of SW fish and coral but personally, I'd only recommend 2 of them.
