Im new to this skimmer scenario. When first setting up a coralife super skimmer, should you see microbubbles. Mine just seemed to fil up and thats it. doesnt seem like any water is being circled around like other pics of skimmers i have seen. Water in the skimmer seems still and clear with a couple air bubbles, this normal?

nah i got no swirling anything. Does the tube itself swirl or is the water just supposed to swirl

You should see a mass of white bubbles in the tube. If you don't, I suspect you don't have the venturi tube installed properly, or the pump is too deep in the water.

no freshwater its in my saltwater fish tank. ill try and raise the pump higher cause i have no bubbles

Fixed it, pump was too low. Thanks for all the responses. I assume the first day or 2 or 3 I should just see white foam? Also do most wet or dry skim?

For the first few days keep it low, cause when it kicks in that level is going to rise and can overflow.
I highly recommend running tubing from the drip on the cup to a 1 gal. milk jug.
Hides the ugly stuff, easier to dump, and helps prevent overflow.
After a little bit you'll get used to it.
Adjust is a little sensitive, so go very little.

I don't pay much attention to wet vs dry skimming. I just followed the instructions for water level adjustment. The skimmer did take a few days or so to get working properly.
