Corals for a Newbie

I am in the planning stages of a 75g reef tank. Not sure yet what I want in it - in fact about all I know is that there are corals and such one can keep in a tank.

I have yet to find a good book on corals (our library is limited). Recommendations?

What are the best corals and invertebrates for a newbie to keep (i.e., easy to moderate to maintain)?

When starting, it's best to take it a step at a time so your experience, knowledge, and skills can grow. I'm stuck at the LPS stage right now :) I'm trying various SPS and not much luck yet. *sigh*

Soft Corals
Green Star Polyps, Xenia, Zoanthids, Button Polyps, Mushrooms, Toadstools, Colt Coral, and Kenya Tree are very easy to keep.

LPS
Torch, Frogspawn, Hammer

SPS
Montipora digitata, Montipora capricornus
