corals in place of anemones

I have a 12-g nanocube and am getting a pair of Rod's onyx clowns at the beginning of March and am not sure if I want to get an anemone. If I buy an anemone, I'm assuming a BTA would be the best way to go? Any other recommendations? If I don't buy an anemone I would like to find a coral that could host the clowns. I was thinking Catalaphyllia sp. or another LPS variety. Or maybe a finger leather coral? Please advise. Thanks!

If you go with an anemone then go with the bta assuming you have stock lighting on the nanocube?

But I've read here and elsewhere that if it isn't the natural host for the clown it's going to be hit or miss and I don't belive the BTA is a natural host for percula clowns.

My oscellaris have hosted my torch coral for awhile now. Before that it was my frogspawn which they murdered.

When all is said and done, they're going to host what they want to host and when they want to host it.

A nem in that size would most likely be a headache, and would limit coral space, maybe even no coral.
Frogspawn would be my choice, or hammer.

ive kept percs and they hosted in BTAs for me with no issues ive seen percs host on powerheads and mag floats i dont think they really care to much
