Corals to go with Zoanthids

I had a 55gal reef tank from 2003-2008 and really enjoyed my zoanthids. I knew I would eventually start a new tank, but larger, and that time has finally come. I have a 150 gal tank now that is 1 1/2 months old. I plan to do zoanthids again and was wondering if anyone could recommend other corals that they really like with zoanthids.

WELCOME BACK!

Any coral could be ok in the same system with the zoas. I don't see any restrictions.
I would avoid placing mushrooms together with zoas and would keep Protopalythoas separated also.

***Please don't pay attention to the new cartoon named - high priced - one polyp deal zoas.***
It's not like the old times anymore!

Grandis.

Acan lords, favia, and everything else listed in my signature do great in my tank. The acan lords and favia in particular thrive. I have had no success at all with the larger polyp LPS, i.e., elegance and open brain.

PS - My tank started out and still is, in my mind, a zoa tank. I have Jokers, Tubbs blues, eagle eyes, Armor of God, radioactive eagle eyes, etc. etc. etc. It looks great, even under a single moonlight LED....

I had some blue mushrooms in my old tank and had to remove them because they were taking over so I don't plan to do mushrooms again. Thanks for the feedback.

+1.

Certain corals will keep them at an arms distance. I've got some zoanthids right now that are crawling up the stalk of a toadstool coral. No problems yet.
