Corman1313's 7.5 LPS CUBE

So I have been wanting to start this for a while but have not had the time to get to it so here we go. I don't want this to be too long so I will skip some of the first tank and get to the cube.

After selling my NanoCube 6 a year and a half ago I decided it was time to get another tank. I wanted a pico as I had already kept one several years ago and liked the challenge of it. This was going to be an all LPS pico. I went with the Mr. Aqua 3 gallon bow front. I used an AC 20 with chemipure and polyfilter and that was all for filtration. I went bare bottom and got some really established rock. I hooked up an ATO and for lighting I went with an Ecoxotic tri color par38 and 2 stunner strips, one 453nm and the other 403 ultra violate. The lights were hung in a lamp shade I picked up at a lighting store. Added an mp10 when I got the cube. I also ditched the AC and added a 10 gallon sump with an AquaticLife mini skimmer and 3 gallon refugium with Chaeto. For the overflow I went with the eshopps nano overflow and a Rio H6 for the return. Everything is hooked up to an Apex.

Thanks for looking. I will be adding pics as things go along. I was posting in a bit of a hurry so if I left anything out or you have any questions feel free to ask.

Thank you for the compliments everyone. Yes corals are very happy and I've noticed them doing better without out the mp10 on and just using the flow from the return so I'm only running the mp10 at night to kick up anything that has settled. That is also one of the reasons I didn't put sand in the tank, I wanted some good flow through the tank so I didn't want sand blowing everywhere with the mp10, also I started with the 3 gallon and I didn't want to lose some volume by adding sand. I am 50/50 on the look, your right it would look good with sand, but I wanted to experiment. also bare bottom in the refugium to see how that works out. The tank is a Mr. Aqua same as the 3 gallon but the glass seems different on this one, neither are low iron.

It's been a while, I have been really busy but my tank is doing awesome. Just snapped a few pics as I saw the sun hitting the tank just right.
