Yes, I left at 8PM the night before. Came back at 10AM and I saw a beautiful white tank. Now I have two projects in mind, a long term and a short term one.
Haha, seriously though hard luck dude, just gotta keep on truckin with this hobby though. You know have you ever thought about getting a monitoring device that will send you alerts? Might be a good idea for you. How do you like the vortech pumps? i'm considering one, but don't know if just one mp40w will make a wave in my tank.....
it's a 150, yeah is aw that thread, interested to see it, How did you learn your reefing skills?? Books, here, or other? I actually have family that lives in Cleveland.
Yeah, in my secluded location, i,ve learned everything I know from books, and mistakes.....on here there is some iffy advice a lot of times. Do you belong to a club?
well, you need to consider the source, so before you go and follow someone's advice. Look at their tank, setup, ask questions, and then do your best to make a good decision. Ultimately you'll have to make decisions yourself, but you'll have a lot more info.
Ohhh ic, I do have a question for you. I have often wondered this. I have a fowlr tank. I believe there to be no disease or parasite of any kind present due to proper quaranting and medicating of the fish. I have often wondered how people keep ich and other parasites from getting into their tank after they introduce corals. It has always seemed to me that one coral from a petstore, with the smallest drop of water would most likely contain several ich cysts. This is the main reason I don't have a reef tank. The health of my fish, even if they get stressed they cannot get ich, because it is not present in tank.
sorry, have not checked this thread in a while, bc, well, you know.
You can quarantine any addition to your tank, if you fear ich. However, I have never heard of corals adding ich to a system. Naturally it's possible, I've just never heard of it.
I lost all the corals. I had taken some time off, but now I've started a new sps tank (linked to above, but here it is again). Please continue any conversations on the new thread. Thanks.
