cost to feed???

just out of curiosity, how much does it cost to feed your horses every month? also, please list your livestock and how many horses you have. also what you are feeding them.

My horses eat frozen. I have 4 erectus, they eat 2 cubes of hikari or PE mysis a day. A firefish and a couple of peppermint shrimp get the leftovers. I fast them one day every couple of weeks.

I give them Hikari Ocean Plankton every few days, too.

A flat pack of any of those three foods is about $5, and I think 3 of them will last me about 2-3 months. So, ~$7 a month?

wow......that's it.......i always thought they were more expensive than that to feed.

I feed my two CB Reidi's live ghost shrimp. I get the good customer LFS price, so I pay about $25/every other week for a bag of a couple hundred or so. So, I pay a tad bit more on my SH"s.

I go through about one pack of PE mysis a month for my two erectus. Around here PE goes for about $12 a pack. They get the occassional live treat so maybe $5 a week tops.

With feeding live it was costing me about $15 a week. Getting CB horses will ensure they frozen if they come from an aquaculture facility
