i just wanna discover this for most of the gigantea being sold in the shops look similar with haddoni

any practical means to easily identify them correctly?

The tentacles on a Gig SHOULD be longer --- not always easy to see if the anemone isn't healthy.

Haddonis are going to prefer being on/in the sandbed, whereas Gigs tend to prefer a rock. Though when purchasing, this might not be helpful, since they could be under less then ideal conditions.

Also, for me, it is a feel/see thing, been keeping Haddonis for 12+ years, so just can tell.

There should be more visible verrucae (( bumps on the underside of the oral disc )) on Gigs. S. Haddonis will have them, but can be easy to miss.

You can barely see them in this Haddoni,

Super faint in this Haddoni,

Haddoni. Tentacles closely packed together and short. May, or may not, have void areas around the mouth, depending on health and lighting.

Gigantea verrucae. Usually blue/purple and obvious.

Thanks.

I will answer for EC, since it is his picture with the Saddleback (( A. polymnus )), in the mouth of an S. Haddoni -- pretty common for those clowns to do that, mine does it any time I do a water change.
