could my flame angel be nipping my sabae anemone?

I've noticed my flame angel spending a lot of time in and around my sabae anemone the last few months looking like it was nipping at it until I get close and then it swims away. Now even though the rest of the tank is progressing nicely, my anemone seems to not be doing well. Has anyone heard of this happening before? What are the chances my flame angel is slowly consuming my anemone?

I've seen them nip, but usually won't do enough damage to cause lasting harm.

It is possible.

However, what color is your H. Crispa? They are often sold as either bleached (( white )) or dyed (( yellow )) and could already be going downhill and the angel is taking advantage of it.

It's sorta brown or baige in color. When I bought it was right white with purple tips. I've had it almost 2 years now though. It never has looked colorful, always sort of ugly. But it was always growing and getting bigger until recently. My water parameters are crap to be honest, but they've been worse before for much longer periods of time with no effect on it. I feed it krill 3 x weekly. The angel has been nipping it for a few months now.

My flames will nip on the anemone sometimes but never cause serious damages but they destroy every coral in their path,both LPS,SPS,and sometimes gorgonians.
