Could someone identify this Anemone?

Hi,

This is supposed to be a Bubble Tip, but it doesn't want to eat any

frozen foods. I tried chopped silversides, shrimp, scallop, brine shrimp, etc.

It just closes up when I try to put something on it's tentacles. It seems very

healthy and moves around in a certain area. My two Ocellaris Clowns don't

pay it any attention at all.

All my parameters are perfect, lighting is 2 x 94 watt 10K, 2 x 94watt

Actinics, 1 x 36 inch 10k and actinic LED's

Thanks! See attachment! Bubble Tip Anemone.jpg

Yes, that is a bubble tip anemone (BTA), Latin name is Entacmaea quadricolor. Ocellaris aren't naturally hosted by this species, but will likely take to it in time in your aquarium. BTAs like to attach in a cave or crevice in the rock. Movement indicates it hasn't found the place that matches all of its needs yet. Your lighting should be fine. As far as feeding, until it attaches and settles in, it won't eat.

Thanks! I thought it had settled, but it is still roaming in a circle.

Fortunately it's not disturbing anything (so Far)!

Happy to know it really is a BTA, and not something else.

I have a Mini Maxi Carpet Anemone, and it gulps down everything! Right from the start!

It's really pretty too, I will definitely be getting more of them in the future!
