Could this be Alveopra

looks like either gonipora or alveopora, if the polyps extend 4 or 5 inches in the furure, it's probably gonipora, if not it's alveopora. either way sweet pick up there. also gonipora usually forms into a ball like structure, alveopora comes in different forms, branching etc. i think theres a way to tell the difference by counting the number of "petals" on each polyp i think alveopora has 12 & gonipora has 24. congrats!

sure thats a possiblity, from what i could make out from your photo's i'm 99% sure thats alveopora, it has 12 petals on each polyp

Not sure what it is but it looks like there are a few hydroids on there that you might want to cover up because they are likely stinging everything they are around.

Hard to tell, but it actually does look like a sick galaxia. Hard to tell without a better pic...

i suggest you do a google on galaxia before accepting the pic reference above as the only way a galaxia looks like.

Not galaxia. Galaxia has a large skeleton that each polyp rests on that would be about the size or a bit bigger of each one of those zoos. It's very easy to distinguish when closed up.
Polyps are shaped differently and have a different spread than cyphastea.
Alvepora's polyps, while having 12 skirts, the skirts are shaped differently and from the species I've seen, it looks like the polyps would be bigger than this, even when closed entirely.
Looks like an sps to me, probably montipora as mscarpena suggested, IMO.
Gotta love the little freebies. :)

I would say either encrusting montipora.

I'm nearly certain that the coral in question is Montipora sp. (I have no idea what species)
I would recommend cutting it out of those polyps which are clearly inhibiting it's growth. Relocate it into higher light. It will probably color up and continue encrusting if you system is SPS friendly.

Nice looking hitchhiker! I bet the Monti would have set you back way more than the polyps probably did.
