39 days until MACNA 2015 Washington DC!!! Super excited to attend my second ever MACNA. Tickets are still on discounted price and airfare is still reasonable! Who all from SoCal is going? I'll be flying out on Wednesday before with Rob and Phill. If you are serious about this hobby then you MUST attend at least one!

Kelly and I are going and this will be our 6th in a row, this is our annual trip without the kids. Those of you in Socal that cannot make this year's Macna may have a surprise for next year if rumors hold true? Anyway looking forward to a trip to our capitol! Also hope to have a few new cutting edge reef toys when we head home.

Corey,

I strongly suggest you get some liquid in your tank before MACNA, or I am going to be publicly shaming you and nobody is going to want to have cocktails with a "Dry-Reefer".

Stop dreaming about all the raffle crap you are going to win, and start putting water in that tank!

Seriously man, get a cup, and get to fillin

I had bought tickets at last year's MACNA for this year and was all set to go, but a bunch of crap happened with family and work and I wasn't going to be able to go anymore.

But things are dying down a bit and I might be able to go again. I'll probably have to make an audible call as it gets closer. At least my plane and and hotel has already been arranged for.

I talked to Brian over at Age and he and Dan are going. They'll have a pretty nice sized booth.

This will be my 4th in a row... heading in early with the wife to play tourist a bit as I've only been to DC once as a kid. Looking forward to it

If any of you guys going to MACNA are planning to go see the monuments and museums, here's a suggestion, get a car service for like 4 hours. I grew up near DC and have been there many a times taking visiting relatives. DC in the end of summer is freakin hot and crazy humid. Everything in DC is spaced out kind of far so you're constantly walking. A car service is perfect because they'll drop you off in front of everything and will wait for you there until you're done site seeing each thing, plus you can have them blast the AC while you're in the car resting going to the next monument!

It runs about couple hundred for 4 hours, but definitely worth it in my opinion. You will see a lot more in a shorter amount of time, don't have to worry about finding parking (it's not like SoCal where there's valet everywhere), and won't get turned around on DC's crazy streets (fun fact: when DC streets where getting planned out, the planners purposefully made the street system confusing because if we were ever invaded, they wanted to make it hard for the invaders with their tanks and vehicles to find their way to the Whitehouse and government buildings. Well, they succeeded!)

There's also Dulles airport. It's a bit farther out, but United has a lot of direct flight to and from LAX.

I flew into Baltimore last year it was easy to get in and out, I guess you can take a train to DC, I did a small check into airlines tickets, they are up there in price I guess it doesn't pay to wait.

Lucky guys, I would love to go but it looks like for me and the girl it would be about 2K in just airfare / hotel / tickets and thats before the 6-7K on equipment spent there lol! Hopefully they have one closer next year!
