First off... I have a yellow wrasse and melanarus wrasse... their schedule is such that I never see them... they come out of the sandbed around 7 and I am gone for work they go.back in around 3 I am not home yet... they have only been in the tank a few weeks... but feeding is tough as I am not there..

Second would a flasher wrasse keep its cocoon after waking up? I have a new one and he seems to be having a hard time shaking the mucas cocoon each day... he is also very reclusive so far hiding most of the time... only been in tank a few days though...

Thanks

Give them some time; they should adjust their schedule to your lighting schedule in time.

No, that's not normal, and I'd suspect it's health is either compromised or is being severely stressed by another tankmate.

i have a melanarus wrasse and when i first got him he was under the sand bed before the lights when out and swimming like at 8am!

been like 3 weeks now and he doesnt even "hide" anymore!

The melanarus has adjusted his schedule some already recently... staying out much closer to lights out now...

The flasher also has cleared up and looks great... I think he was just severely stressed from shipping... two days later still timid but looking and eating great..
