trying to decide what to put on the empty vertical rock face... I have a seafan I am mounting to the top of the rock.. but I need some ideas what to place of the vertical portion...

new additions include 4 new photosythectic gorgonians, rainbow gonipora, neon green clove polyps, gold torch, ufo micromussa, couple acan lords and a few new shroomies....

I had a terrible misfortune with that.. I bought a 3way breeder and it got stuck against a side and the flow went to nil... of course it happens when my sous chef cut off a finger so I worked extra hours for a few days when that happened... topped off one early morning and saw what had happened.. to little to late.... but all you have to do is slice them in half... just get part of the mouth on each piece... they then curl over and reattach and heal...

I went from 8 or so plus 13 babies so 21 in actuality I now have 7 visble and that includes a baby and I bought one recently.. its got a green outer rim and the inner 2/3 goes from a navy blue to light blue center... there was another clone I had that detached and where it went I have no clue.. it was deff stressed and I haven't seen a glimpse of it in over a week but heres an updated shot from tonight hadn't mounted much since ive been accumulating more and more.. also added some inverts.. I had a red fin fairy wrasse decimate my pep shrimp so his jumping while sad is allowing me to keep shrimp. so I got 6 pep shrimp.. ordered 5 but arrived in rough shape and they were replaced with 1 extra.. I got a yellow cucumber.. the filter feeding kind.. 2 blood 2 cleaners and a coral banded.. ive kept all these in a 55 together with no issues in the past..

and now im rambling.. sorry

whoa whoa whoa whats that candy cane doing in there lol jk, p.s. you should frag those lower heads that are bent so they can actually get light. i think i see an acan and a brain maybe too. set-up envy.

Do i understand correctly that that is a PURPLE toadstool with green polyps? or was the purple pertaining to something else. I couldn't imagine, i was thinking maybe he meant purple base rock or something.. idk.

And i thought i saw a neon sinularia in one of the earlier pics? is that correct? (or a neon tree, whatever you want to call it) ... anyways my buddy is adamant that they are an entirely captive species now. I haven't come across anything that verifies this. thoughts?

Beautiful tank! Sorry to here about the mishap. I wasn't aware you could just cut them up like that!!! How long does it take for them to recover.

there are 4 different color variations of the candy canes... 7 or so different acans... yes it is a purple base green polyp toad.. one of my favorites.. there are 3 different neon green nepths in there as well... as far as wether they are a captive spieces now... all I can say is I doubt it.. lol

thank you for the kind words... cant wait until I get my good camera back.. I hate this crappy point and shoot

I would say a month... depends on the maxi though...

i would say it depends more on water quality...they heal fast though..i used to cut them up all the time...i could cut one in half and to weeks later cut it again no issues...some people i know used to quarter them, but the healing time is quite a bit longer as it takes more time to reform the mouth...

that toad is awesome too...i have what i was told is a yellow fiji, but i am leaning more toward a yellow toad, as it really isnt spreading just growing up like my other toad...perhaps it is starved for light under my devils hand though...

i think you need a bigger tank...people say i have tonnes of stuff in my tank...you take the cake though..lol...

lol 70 gal cube 30x30.... and yes im running out of real estate.. my Fiji yellow is in back left corner of the rock work... ill ty to take a pic looking through the other viewable side later tonight

the lps grow like crazy... I feed heavy and I now have 13 fish as of my newest addition, in hopes he helps rid the aiptasia that are starting to **** me off.. but I get atleast 2 new heads on a couple of acans monthly, same with blastmousa.. again new heads mnthly with the euphillias as well. have both wc and aquacultured goinpora thriving... ive fraged the wc 3 times with 0 issues and it keeps going.. most of the softies started out larger and I have fragged a couple as well so growth is a little harder to judge.. ive started turning the intensities down as well... im running the blues at 60% and whites at 35% everything opens more ive noticed.. if I can even get the whites down more id be happy.. I like to view it in the 18-20k range but I know my Fiji yellow toad looks best under the the 3500ks and 6500ks. so im happy with it...
