Several weeks ago I acquired an original Bakpak with it's originial Maxijet 600 pump. I've had it up and running for perhaps a month and have been quite pleased with it. Last week the pump began making noises so I called Ameka Aquatics. Apparently CPR now ships their models with a different style of pump, an Accela. It only cost about $22 plus shipping but wow, what a difference it is making. If anyone still is using the maxijet, you may wish to consider switching to the upgraded pump. FYI and blessings!
