So im planning on buying the in tank fuge and my question is will my ati t5 bulbs lighting be ok for it our i must have 6500k for the cheato the grow

It's a hang on outside to be specific, and it will probably catch some light spill that may sustain/maybe grow chaeto, but it would grow better w/ a light on it.
Either way don't expect it to do a whole lot for nutrient export, mainly just pods.

Yeah hob refugiums are really just to grow pods and cheato. Yes the cheato is going to grow, but unless your refugium is at least 1/4 your tanks water volume, it's not going to do much as of means of nutrient export. As far as lighting, you really don't have to use much special for growing cheato. I used a finnex led I had lying around.

I have been considering to buy one for pod growth, specifically to house a dragonet in my 65g. Do you think that the CPR would be sufficient to grow enough pods to feed a single dragonet??

I clip a regular shop light to the fuge and use a 6500 watt CFL floodlight. Cheato is dark green and the size of a basketball. Cost: about 10 dollars for the fixture, 10.00 for the bulb. Home Depot.

Just depends. I would definitely grow some out somewhere besides your dt or the dragonet will starve himself by eating them all. I think you could but ideally if you could get him to readily eat other foods.
