CRAAAAZY weather right now....

Crazy storm! Our condo looks over Lake Michigan, still a light show going on, but planes are starting to come in towards OHare again. We had a large spark on our window frame right before a lightning bolt, that was enough to get us to shut off the tv and computers...

I had been looking at those whole house generators for awhile now, the prices have really started to come down and its actually looking like it might be a decent option at this point....

it got pretty crazy in the city, i live close to Pat and was walking to my apartment with my gf right before everything got really nasty. Five seconds after we walk into the kitchen the tree right outside our window almost went flat against the ground, i also for the first time heard tornado sirens in the city.

Never heard sirens in the city before. Was pretty cool till the power shut off. Had enough d cells for either the air pumps or a flashlight... :) hmmmm.

The vet said I have to give it to him before he gets scared. Gave him some for the 4th & then he was really high & still scared.

I think I'd rather be high and scared then just plain scared but then again dogs don't truely appreciate the high part.

According to NOAA the Dever Crib across from Navy Pier recorded an 82 knot gust which is the most I have seen yet.. I did not loose power here at Montrose and Lake Shore drive..

I don't think he liked being high. He was tripping all over the place, trying to stay by me. Poor guy kept falling over.

I think I'll just give him some melatonin.

We got a whole lot of rain here. But this one isn't any thing like last years storm around this time now that was a bad storm and wide spread damage.

had a bad storm front hit orland park around 845p. a nasty looking front come in with high winds and a thunderstorm with lotsa rain and lightning.no hail. presently, when i am looking at the skies, it seems like there is alot of storm activity up north from where i am at.

hope everyone is ok and there are no electrical outages!

I have been watchin for a while and they are becoming more affordable. We just had 4 inches of water in the basement from the storm about 2 months ago. We had just finished the basement 3 weeks prior to that. No bat backup sump pump (I am a bone head) and about $10,000 worth of damage. So the whole house genny is looking very good right now.

Anybody hear anything about Mount Pleasant? My 7 year old grand daughter spends summers there, goes to camp in Chicago what time did the storms hit there? She's Terrified of storms. I am hoping it wasn't too bad in her area. Thanks.
