Crab ID Please!

Can anyone tell me about this crab? It has been in my aquarium for a long while and i just saw it eating a hermit crab tonight.

Hi Adam,

that crab remembers me of Eriphia verrucosa. I would say it is an Eriphioidae and as that probably quite a predator. If you have a sump the crab might live there without any problems. If it feeds on corals may be doubted.

I think I have to correct myself or at least supplement. It might be a Pliumnid crab either, compare with this new genus and species: http://rafflesmuseum.wordpress.com/...pore-crustacea-decapoda-brachyura-pilumnidae/ That would probably a rather nasty predator too.
