Crack in my tank

Okay so I noticed a crack in my tank between the bulkhead and the top of the tank, it does not extend down so I'm guessing it will be okay for now.

So now I have to get a new tank, build a new standard set it up before the crack decides to migrate south of the bulkhead if that is possible.

I'm wanting to get something a bit bigger than my 40 breeder since my wife wants a blue tang, does anyone or know anyone that has a tank that is reef ready? I'm waiting for some money from EDD from when I was terminated from Friedman's so this coming week I can get something.

Let me know if you can help, I want it already drilled and preferably with built in overflows. I'll use the same 40 gallon sump I have now.

Luis, Petco has some 75 gallon tanks and has its $1 per gallon sale but you probably want something that is about 6' long for that tang your wife wants.

Yeah I would need something bigger than 100 gallons since I also want to add an anemone once it has been running for minimum 6 months, my brother said he will give me one once my tank is ready.

That's a bummer. I had a 40 breeder that I bought from petco. I siliconed in an overflow box and drilled the tank. Set up the tank and blah blah blah.

One day I was looking in the tank at night with my cell phone flash and noticed an odd light reflection on the back panel. same thing as yours, cracked. I was so ****ed and bummed.

Luckily I had an acrylic tank of the same size. Drilled it and swapped it.

I think the cheap 40 breeders glass is too thin to support the weight of plumbing tbh. I'll never try that again.

Yeah I think it is too thin, I'm guessing I must have cracked it when I was first setting it up and moving the plumbing to where I wanted it to go.

Thanks anderpeixoto but I do want to get a bigger glass aquarium.

How about a 100g plexi? Price is right, your time, gas money and bridge toll...
It's a 5 footer with stand that needs little work. Built in overflow.
LMK if you are interested.

Thanks for the offer but I'm trying to stay with glass. My coworker offered me a 150 but if I can wait for 6 months since he's using it as a growout tank.
