I've had dinos before too, but nothing that looks like what you had, joe. I probably would have ditched my reef and gone with african cichlids if I had that. You've got some determination. I had my own methods for defeating it that worked for me, but I wouldn't recommend it as a blanket policy.
I think misdiagnosis is a major issue with dinos. After 3 months of battle I was really on the fence about whether I truly had them or some mutant strain of cyano. I was in the midst of sending emails back and forth to an RC member studying microbiology who was willing to examine specimens of mine to determine the identity. I ended up beating them that round so I never sent them off. If I did it again I would have tried to get a positive ID earlier to ensure I was fighting the right battle.
