Might as well post up the species...Dendrophyllia gracilis.

Makes me wonder if the coral that I thought was a Blano is actually the same species as the one posted today in the DD.

are Dendro's like that strictly nocturnal? (like Tubastrea?)

Neither dendros nor tubastrea are strictly nocturnal. If you feed them during the day they will eventually open during the day. My dendros stay open day and night but I don't know about the branching kind it seems from aquabac's reports that they are more difficult to work with.
