Crazy Colors LPS thread.

The one in the middle is the bastard Agent Orange echinata. It has taken out several frags that were unlucky enough to have been pushed up against it  It is on probation right now. I'm hoping the location and angle that I glued it will prevent and future murders :D

Finally picked up these4 acans that a friend has been holding for me for MONTHS!

Peter,

How did you get the colony up into that angle? Compound + crazy gel + duct tape + staples? :wildone:

LOL, no, just the same method I use for gluing all my corals. Obiousvly this time I used more glue/epoxy...

Clean surface of frag and surface of rock where it is to be glued with a steel brush to remove all detritus, algae, etc. Knead aquamend into a ball. Remove frag from water, and pat dry area to be glued. Apply super glue gel to frag. Squish epoxy ball onto superglue area on frag. Apply superglue gel to opposite side of epoxy ball. Place into tank. A skin will form over the superglue. Squish the epoxy ball onto the rock surface which has been cleaned. Slightly rotate while squishing, so as to break the skin, and make direct rock-to-glue contact. Hold in place from 5 to 30+ seconds, depending on frag size. Done. hth :)

+1 on all the above..........life is too easy when there isn't any rock and frags to attach......or filter socks to clean.....well then there's the skimmer of course....reflectors......pumps......

Filter socks are my biggest nemesis!

SDguy: Nice acans keep em coming!
