Crispy Crispa?

Hey guys It seems okay now but last night when I dosed my tank, my sebae closed up like a clam and sucked himself under the rocks. It only took him about 3 seconds to do it. Like I said, it looks fine now, but I was wondering if maybe I should be a bit more concerned. It's open now, but it did move a little from where it has been.

I added the calcium first, the mag, then buffer. Within the next minute, the nem was under the rock. I'm guessing some of my pro buffer got to him? I always add it on the opposite side of the tank from him and I add the buffer slowly. With my powerheads, the buffer never makes it past the halfway point in the tank before the cloudiness dissapears. Nothing else seemed to be bothered, even my frogspawn which is closer to where I dosed.

79 degrees
1.025
ph 8.1ish
trate 10ish ppm (normal before a water change)
Cal 420
mag 1290
alk 7

Were your lights off at the time?
I dosed DKH a few nights ago after the lights were off and my Gigantea shrunk to the size of a golf ball.
Chalked it up to a ph spike.
Won't be doing that again..
If it was a ph spike he should be fine. Mine was out happy within a couple hours!!

Just a thought:)

Just my actinics were on. It caught me off guard because I almost always dose in the evening and it's never happened before.

My sebae (7 yrs) does that when I add the alk component of 2 part too quickly. Add it very slowly in the future, and away from the sebae.

You are adding more alk than ca to correct an imbalance?
