richard. i,ve been meaning to post this for awhile. i have 2 of these. they came wrapped around one of the gorgoians. they are tightly wrapped by day and only open? at night. i,m guessing some kind of star. they must be feeding on something as they seam to have grown over the year.

Your suspicions are correct basket star, and kudos on keeping them alive for a year, as they are nocturnal filter feeders..tough to keep happy..you and Dennis do well with them!

ok, thanks. cool.1 yr later all the corals are doing great.the star coral is actually spreading
