About a month ago I bought 2 Crocea clams, one about 2 1/2 inches, the other about 2 1/4 inches. The larger one attached immemdatley to a rock and is fine, the smaller one keeps turning and moving and will not settlee in, no matter where I put it . It's moved so much and fallen off the rocks so many times I now have it placed on the sandbed on top of a rock, surrounded by smaller rocks to keep it in place until it attaches. This morning I found the rocks moved and the clam sideways on the sandbed.
I've even moved the sammler one to the spot wherethe lager one was quite happy but he turned and moved anyway.
BTW, both clams open normally and have great color.
What can I do to help this clam?
