Crocea clam question

I recently purchased a Crocea clam from Chad at Reefscience and its done great. Its been open and mantle out like it should be. I guess it was real happy where its at and attached its foot already. My question is the rock its sitting on was shaped like a wide U at the front and a little narrower at the back. The clam moved a few times towards the narrower section but I moved it forward again in the first day and a half.
It stayed in the front of the rock again for another day and then almost overnight rocked itself back into the narrower part and attached its foot
The problem I see is the place he positioned himself at has made the one side of his shell not able to open up fully like it did before. There is a small lip of rock that juts out at this spot and it hits its shell when open on the one side. It still can open but not fully like it did before it attached itself.
Is there any reason to worry about this and the clams well being? Waited for the tank to settle for close to a year before getting one and now worried I may have placed it in a place I shouldn't have....

My Crocea moves around a little bit too. It will position itself where it feels more comfortable. I had mine on a piece of rock, and it didn't like the spot so it would jump off and land on the sand. Finally found a good spot for it and it hasn't jumped since. It does however move slightly to the left or right. Just leave it where it's at, if he doesn't like the spot, you'll know.

Thanks for the replies guys. Hopefully he is happy and will stay put for the next week. Taking a trip to Orlando and have a buddy looking after tanks..Not sure he would know what to do if it jumped off the rock

smariner,
Chad he is doing great!!!! It moved back about another 1/2" into the rock while we were in Fla and anchored himself down solid. I can see his foot planted down all over the rock under him. Opens up nice and full everyday and has adjusted to my clown wiggling down through the middle of him a few times a day. I swear the clown fish has a love thing going on with it lately :) First few times the clam would snap shut and open slowly back up and now it closes slightly and thats about it. If anything else gets near it it will snap closed like before. I guess a clam can sense friend or foe?????
