Okay, this is my first clam... it's one of the blueish-purple crocea clams i think. I've had it a week today and so far it started to fade in color the first few days so i put it in the other tank back under some Metal Halide lighting that it was used to. Colors have come back and I started feeding the tank some phytoplankton on about day 3-4. So now, it's looking "fat". Yea, like swollen and it's got a couple little new bumps on the side... not sure if they are feeder tubes or irritation bumps or something. Any ideas if these are normal... or not. And if the swollenness means that it's just eating well, or an indication that something may be wrong?
It's "mouth" was open pretty wide this morning but has closed up more during the day and now it has positioned itself in a better water flow and has laid the side of it's "flesh" on a piece of live rock. Is this normal? It looks like it's created a bridge from the liverock to it's mouth for the water to flow to... and it's mouth is almost completely closed. Is this all a good sign?
thanks
