Crocea question

I have two crocea's, every now and then there is a threadlike substance that float from its mantle...is this common..normal? what is it?

This is how they spawn by releasing sperm and eggs.

nope..i looked up vermetid snails and thats not it...the threads are thinner than hair and are clear...the come from the mantle itself...

very cool....what are the chances of getting baby clams?? any thing i can do to increase the odds?
 
food for your fish and corals yum get the book "The Captive Marine Aquarium" it comes with a dvd of clams spawning in tanks.
 
I don't think it sounds like spawning.

Mine does it somethimes when I mess around in the tank. I think it's a defense mechanism.
