a lfs in my area just got a huge shipment of georgous crocea clams for a good price. I want to know if it is a good idea to buy it. so here is the low down, i have a 29 gallon tank with 190 watts of pc lighting. tank parameters are pretty good
Amonia 0
nitrite0
nitrate 10-20
calcium 400-450

The tank will only be set up for another 1-2 months in which time i will be upgrading to a 65 gallon tank with a canopy that has a 400 watt mh and 2x 95 watt vho lights.

the Question (finally)
1) do you think that crocea will be ok in the 29 gallon tank for 1-2 months
2) do you think crocea will be good in the 65g tank( i hope so)
3) Is there anything i should look for on the clam other than mantel health (pinching), and the health of the foot?

Thanks for reading

believe it or not zooz. they are on front and oregon. they have probably almost 40 clams they are all about 4" and are only 20 dollars. i would hurry though because the guy i talk to in there said he sold almost 10 of them yesturday. Good luck hope the good ones are still there when you get there

buy the way when i do end up getting a clam what exactly shouldi look for as far as disease and general health. (besides mentioned above)
