my crocea has been in the same spot for a while now.. tonight when i came home he seems to have kinda unattached and is hanging there like 1/2 on 1/2 half off the rock.. where he normally attaches where the foot is its like a feathery looking strands.. he is still attached as i cannot fully move him..there is no PM, and reacts very well to light and has bight color(same as always).. why would he kind of unattach?? this is not a good thing rite??

are you sure that none of your tangs or wrases are bothering it? another thing to consider if it is in a reef tank that something may have moved into the current and the clam is now not getting enouph. clams move when they are not happy where they are.it doesnt mean it is going to die, hopefully it can find a new place to live.

C's are strange. They like to wedge themselves in some tight spots. After 4 months of moving I finally put him in a cave rock 1 1/2" from the surface of a 150w HQI and he's happy,as a...CLAM! He doesn't look as good to me that high, but I guess I'll have to go 250W if I want him down where I can see him.
