hi i have a piece of acro and the other day someone got the bight idea to open all the windows because it was "coool' out side. NOT my tank was up too 88 in no time so. I noticed that the bottom base of my acro had lost some tissue. The rest of it is fine and pylops are out and everything looks fine. I came home today and I noticed that the white had spread a little. Will this continue to go until the coral is gone? Or is there a way to stop it??? thanks!

I would do this in that situation.....assuming it IS still spreading....

take some super glue and seal up everything that has died with a thin layer of glue, covering up into the healthy tissue a bit. kind of like a band aid

Watch it...if it still continues to recede .........start cutting off healthy pieces and remounting them to try and save what you can

the STN may or may not stop...

double check your parameters are in check...check your ALK and PH specifically..swing in either of those could cause, fixing the wacky parameter could be the easiest way to fix this...

if it spreads or starts to RTN...then frag as fast and far away from the decay as you can...and pray it makes it...

one more thing......move that thing to the bottom of the tank all but out of the light.

The heat bleached the thinner parts of the coral
