CUC for Longnose Hawkfish

I building my stocklist for my 75g, and a Longnose Hawkfish is almost a must. And, I understand they can go after small inverts, including Cleaner Shrimp.

So, what kind of CUC can I have with a Longnose Hawk?

Never had trouble keeping snails or hermits with a long nose. A scarlet I had did suck a couple of snails out of their shells but provided you keep them well fed I don't think you'd have too much to worry about.

i have 2 longnose hawkfish in my 75g with 1 cleaner shrimp. they have never bothered the shrimp and in fact, i have never even seen them pay the least bit of attention to it.

Now I want one. The risk to inverts was the only thing holding me back. And I have a 125 so I could get two!

I have heard they can and will grab shrimp and bash them repeatedly into rocks to break them into smaller pieces....

But I have never seen it done. It would be very hard to introduce a shrimp after the Longnose was established.

That wouldn't be happening in my case. I'd have my CUC (and shrimp for that matter) in before the LNH.

75g tank, right? you should think about 2 longnose hawkfish. my pair is so cute to watch because they perch together and at night, a few minutes before lights out, i see them taking turns being in the lead and swimming all over the tank, one right behind the other. it's like watching synchronized swimming because they turn at exactly the same time, perch, swim, turn...rinse and repeat. :D

I also have a pair of Longnose in my 120. They are awesome together, always following each other, and they perch together as well.
Have 4 cleaner shrimps in my tank before adding the Hawks and they don't even look at them.

Have 2 longnose hawks in my 56 and I haven't seen any issues with CUC being killed off. The only shrimp I have in the tank is a gold coral banded which I barely see anyway

I added a small flame hawk to my 120 gal. anyone know if there would be a problem if I added a small longnose hawk?
