Stunning as always James. Everytime I look at your pictures I feel so inadequate.

Glad you got some of Jim's corals. I got to check his system out in Febuary and it was neat. One of these days I need to come see your system as well.

Hey Calvin, Thanks for your comments. Let me know next time you come to this side of town. Maybe we could set some time up for you to come see the tank. I'm happy I was able to get these two corals from Jim. Sad to see him get out of the hobby. He gave me an awesome deal on the OT and Watermelon. He has two very nice frags coming his way when he gets back in. I now know what everyone was talking about when they said the original Oregon Tort has a melted wax appearance. I'm looking forward to seeing what Zeo does to this coral. James

Yeah, it was sad to see Jim take a break from the hobby. I don't get over that way very often, but I will try and hit you up next time I get over that way. I know it won't be for a while though.

I'll be watching to see how the OT does under your full zeo regimen. This coral is truly a classic.

Hey Finland,

I have no idea what it is. Maybe Frick can chime in. Over time, both pieces of the coral have formed a table. I really like the growth pattern and the coloration that I have gotten on this piece over time. Its very fuzzy and it has a purple and yellow coloration. :)

James
Haha, already posted in sps id forum. Maybe frick can come up with something.

Amazing collection Cunareefer!! Keep the pics coming!! thats my SPS fix done for the night :)

Top notch and thanks for the reply! One of the best frag systems I have ever seen. Truly inspirational.

James,

This is spectacular. I also want corals like yours :)

Thank you very much for the comments Jason, SneekaPeek, and Bill!:wavehand: I am ordering an Avast Marine Works porthole tonight, so I should be able to take better pics without the glare of the bulbs. I'll also be able to take some mid day top downs.

Hey reefer, do you have a run down of all equipment and dosing? Could you provide one? Thanks on advance

Hi Zchauvin,

Lets start with the equipment:

8x80 ATI Sunpower (2 ATI Actinic, 1 ATI Blue+, 2 Geisseman Mid Day, 3 ATI Aquablue)
The frag racks were made by Andy at the Blue Glow. I have one piece of rock and only enough sandy for my wrasse to sleep at night in a Tupperware container.
Skimmer is an octopus xp-3000int with an automatic head cleaner
I have a small vertex zeo reactor.
Return pump is a reeflo super dart gold.
Ca Reactor is a 6x24 GEO
6 Stage Bulk Reef Supply RODI
Reef Keeper Elite
Flow is provided by a Tunze Nano wave box, 6105 stream, and a 6305 stream... and a koralia evolution that works when it feels like it.
The tank is a 100g rimless. The sump is a 75g tank from an old pet store.
I dose Calcium Chloride to keep up with Ca demand.
Also have an Avast Marine Works Kalk Stirrer.

I dose zeobac every 4 days
1.4ml of zeostart daily
pohls extra special twice a week
experimenting with zeo food dosing

I also use a very small amount of activated carbon to keep the water clear.

I'll have some day light shots up this weekend, once I have access to an avast marine works port hole.

Warmest Regards,
James

simply amazing, thanks for the pics.

Thank you for the comments! Here are some daylight shots of the corals I took with my new Avast Marine Works Porthole. Neat little device for taking top down shots. The photos are a little older, but I like them for color comparison.
