Cupramine Question

Does cupramine evaporate with water, or does it remain like salt?

Do I need to top my QT off with RO/DI treated with cupramine, or just RO/DI? I am assuming I need to do the water change with salt water with the correct dose of cupramine added.

Also, in case anyone was wondering, I asked a question about if my Allen's damsel had velvet earlier. That gold sheen I was seeing was actually his coloration, he's beautiful when he turns his blue on full blast. I'll try to get a pic.

It doesn't evaporate but may fall out by reacting with dissolved calcium. Testing copper levels daily (or better twice daily) is highly recommended to maintain proper copper levels.

Though against velvet copper may be ineffective to begin with.
Chloroquine Phosphate (NLS Ick Shield Powder) would be the better treatment.

I test every day - its a little higher than I'd like it to be (between 0.5 and 0.6). Its been in there since 6/4 as treatment for ich (prophylaxis). The QT tank doesn't have an ATO - and the salinity is low due to matching the LFS water. My thought is to do a water change with water I make that is the same salinity as my current water. If I don't add any copper to the water change water, it will dilute the entire concentration in the QT - no?

I don't actually think he has velvet anymore - I'm assuming it would have progressed by now. However, do people treat with chloroquinie prophylactically as well?
